To create your own cache/proxy plug-in, use the Windows Media Services Software Development Kit (SDK). 1. Obtain the Windows Media Services SDK.   2. Copy the provided C# sample cache/proxy plug-in.   3. Customize the plug-in for your cache/proxy scenario.

1. The client requests the stream.   2. The cache/proxy plug-in verifies that the local content is current or retrieves the latest content from the origin server.   3. The cache/proxy plug-in delivers content to the client.
